Why EGUM

For people who place importance on privacy, EGUM can be beneficial. For example, if a store advertises that it only accepts bitcoin and a custom enters the store to purchase items, the customer is broadcasting that they own bitcoin. This can be a loss of privacy. If a store advertises that it uses the EGUM network, they are indicating that they accept one or many different forms of payment and may or may not include bitcoin. EGUM can help preserve privacy this way.
Decentralized
Anyone can run an EGUM node. Including EGUM in an internet address can help identify EGUM nodes. EGUM is geographically and politically decentralized. If you are interested in running an EGUM node, you can do so on your own dns or ip address or, if available you can request to manage one of the following domain names:

EGUM is designed with simplicity for the end user at its core. Complexity is part of the decentralized network but it should be shielded from the end user as much as possible.

End users should be protected from malicious entities and should not need to spend their valuable time constantly keeping up to date on the leading edge of technology to keep safe. Safeguards should be in place that will automatically return a users funds even in cases where they lose or forget their keys.
How EGUM works
Open Source
EGUM plans to make the code available under the Apache 2.0 open source license. We invite developers worldwide to contribute at github.com/egum. Together, we’ll build a vibrant community that continually enhances the platform for the benefit of all users.
End User
In as few steps as possible, a user should be able to add, spend, transfer and check their balance. They should be able to do this from a website, a mobile app, remotely as well as in person.
EGUM Node Operator
Node operators are able to have as much or as little complexity in their systems as they like. They are competing with other node operators to provide end users with the fastest, and most reliable experience.
Costs
End Users will be charged 1% per transaction and node operator will get 99% of that 1%. Node operators will pay EGUM 1% of the 1% they receive. So, for every 1.00 unit transacted, Node operators will receive 0.009 and EGUM will receive 0.001
